Every year, boats became more capable — one of the great success stories of the marine industry. But as each system was added, operating a boat became more complex. Every onboard system became better at its job. No single system was ever intended to understand the whole boat.

We recognized the pattern.
Our perspective began years earlier in enterprise software. Finance had one system, sales another, manufacturing another. Every application performed its role exceptionally well — yet none understood how the business operated as a whole. The breakthrough wasn't another application. It was an operating layer that connected information and helped people make better decisions.
